Montecito Country Club ~ Huyen & Brian
When I first met with Huyen we talked as if we’d known one another for years. She has so much energy (in a good way), sweet, honest, and very funny. She’s a pint sized prankster too! I wanted to work on her wedding right off. She had so many fun ideas that translated beautifully into her event. They took the traditional cocktail napkin and punched them up with “Did you know” fun facts about each other. It made guests laugh and inquire about the full story. Instead of a photomontage we hung 100 photographs from ribbon off sconces to give a more intimate feel to the photos. Guests were able to scroll through or linger and laugh. For the traditional garter removal, she ditched that idea and lined up several of the bridesmaids, a male guests and her Mom only to blindfold Brian and leave him to “feel up” the right leg.
Katie Moos, http://www.katiemoos.com/, caught all the right shots throughout the day. She’s such a dream to work with folks, love her. Huyen and Brian choose to forego the traditional wedding cake and serve the amazing and delicious Crush Cakes Cupcakery, http://www.crushcakes.com/, which guests couldn’t wait to get their hands on!
Belle Loréve ~ Heather & Chris
It was so much fun to work with Heather and Chris on their event. They had great ideas and were really looking for out of the box concepts for their wedding. They chose Belle Loréve for the sprawling views of the Ojai and Santa Paula mountains and beautiful garden setting for the ceremony. It was SO hot that day with temperatures in the 100’s. It made for a beautiful day and everyone was so excited to be there. Heather’s parents, a creative duo, provided very unique table tops of 60” round mirrors. It gave the whole event a very Hollywood glam vibe. I dubbed Quinn Mayer my favorite father of the bride for the year! Quinn and Pam Mayer were a pleasure to speak to at every turn.
Mark Brooke http://www.markbrooke.com/ was our photographer and I can’t give him enough props. He’s wonderful to work with, so kind and creative. He’s a truly unique photographer and I look forward to working with him again in the near future. Command Performance http://www.cpcatering.com/ was amazing as usual and provides food that’s a hit. Danny especially was a gem in the heat that day. What a great event.
Spanish Hills Country Club ~ Kelly & Lowell
| I’ve known Kelly since we were teenagers. She has always had a flare for life. Kelly could dance the socks off of anyone I know… and did! I have photos from my own wedding of Kelly dancing and catching the bouquet to prove it! Quite a girl! I planned Kelly’s sister Dawn’s wedding two years ago and practically lived at their mother Leigh’s house throughout the entire process. So when Kelly found her knight in shining armor and asked me to help plan her wedding it was with pleasure and glee I accepted. There was a very clear theme to the event, a fairy tale wedding for their princess. And that is precisely what she got. | |

| The Spanish Hills Country Club http://www.spanishhillscc.com/ was the perfect setting for her event. With the help of Carol at King Dahl Event Designs http://www.kingdahleventdesign.com/ we completely draped the ballroom from head to toe and transformed a Spanish classic into a winter wonderland. It was complete with horse and carriage for the princess bride that delivered her to the ceremony, signature drinks named after the couple, a white round monogrammed dance floor, cigar bar, candy station, and a modern white lounge with of course a photo booth to amuse guests. I have complete respect for Joy Marie http://www.joymariephotography.com/ for being everywhere at every moment. She captured beautifully the day unfold and gave Kelly and Lowell photographs of their life. Their event was a success and Kelly got her dream wedding. | |
