When I met Donna Small, owner of The Source & Eye a vintage and antiques rental and design house, I immediately was smitten with her. She invited Sidney and Jessica of SBB Gourmet Catering and myself to her home in Santa Ynez. By the end of the meeting we were so excited to put together an inspirational photo shoot! We decided to display all of her beautiful and unique antique pieces, now available for rental, with SBB Gourmet Catering’s creative ideas and concepts on food and styling. We wanted to show how combining great food in unique ways is appetizing for both your eye and your palate. Next step, location. Donna Small was the original owner and builder of the Figueroa Mountain Farmhouse. She has intimate knowledge of the venue and it was only appropriate to feature this gorgeous delectable food and her antiques at such a memorable location. This is truly a one of a kind venue with sweeping mountain views. You have a feeling of calm serenity when you stand on the mountain. It’s a treasured venue to us all and a must see for wedding & events.
Jose Villa beautifully captures the essence that is the Farmhouse throughout his photography. His attentive eye to all things awe-inspiring, allowed us to showcase our vision perfectly.
Joel Serrato expertly filmed the finer points allowing you to feel the emotion and texture to this feast. His ability to capture love on film is inspiring.
Camarillo Bridal recently moved into a beautiful space in Camarillo, CA showcasing gorgeous wedding gowns, shoes & bridal accessories as well as bridal party attire. Owner Pamela Henderson graciously loaned us a stunning Maggie Sottero wedding gown and accessories that made our bride stunning. This is a must see store to shop for your wedding gown.
Cathryn Van Breene of The Studio Agency, in all her skills and talents, provided hair & make-up for our bride. With her vision of soft tones in the eyes, created the look of love.
I was so very happy to have Heidi of Zenadia Designs on board! She created an amazing one of a kind look for our journal invitation and stationary. She wowed us all in her delivery! A BIG thanks to Leslee Sipress for her beautiful calligraphy work on the seating cards. Her skilled and artful hand gave us wonderfull texture in the stationary, I love them!
Michael Mantalos of Louloudi Designs gave us a unique bridal bouquet and blooms to accent this feature.

Twin Peaks Ranch
| To all XOXO BRIDE’s looking for a beautiful exclusive location with all the rustic yet elegant charm, I would like to present Twin Peaks Ranch in Ojai, California. This location is stunning and charming in the same breath. Upon arriving to the ranch you approach a rustic stone entry way and travel down the path under enveloping lush trees. This entices your senses as you drive deeper into the property. You are greeted by adobe buildings with their large oversized wood doors and warm Spanish tiled roofs. Your journey continues through a large rod iron gate which serves as privacy to the venue. You approach around the bend embedded with succulents and cactus to one of the four possible ceremony lawns. As you walk through a charming gate you come upon a private serene garden. Long in scape the garden allows your eye to follow the greens deep into the forest. A large moss adorned rock sits perfectly at the end of the garden. To the left a rock creek and to the right a rock staircase. It’s truly beautiful and takes your breath away. |

Candlelight Kitchen & Bar
A few weeks ago we hosted a little birthday bash for my brother Andre at Candlelight Kitchen & Bar, http://www.candlelightbar.com/. The owners of Calamigos Ranch in Malibu http://www.calamigos.com/, support this unique location both in Ventura and Simi Valley with an additional location just opened in Santa Monica. What a cool spot flaunting South Beach Florida vibes. You are greeted by a white bed next to an oversized leaning mirror and chandelier overhead. The inside restaurant features candelabras suspended over the dining tables. Then you enter into a room that features photographs of eyes close up hanging over a comfy lounge. Each space is as original as the next. The outdoor patio is surrounded by private cabanas dressed in crisp white and yellow. The biggest leather bed a girl has ever seen provides for unique seating in the center of the deck. This space is available for private parties, rehearsal dinners, engagement and anniversary parties, you name it they can host it! Montecito Country Club ~ Construction
It’s official! The Montecito Country Club will be open and taking weddings until the Fall of 2010. The long awaited renovations of the club and golf course have been postponed until later next year. If you haven’t seen this property it is definitely worth a look.
