Summer Ojai Valley Inn Wedding in the Herb Garden
On a warm summer day when the light was just so, under a sprawling oak tree, two best friends marry. Drew and Jessica exchanged vows under a traditional Chutzpah with both their parents and their friends standing beside them. Cheers from their guests exploded in the intimate garden giving way ear to ear congratulatory grins as they walked the aisle into their new lives together. This beautiful wedding hosts natural and organic textures of woods and succulents yet balances the grounded earth notes by use of enormous crystal chandeliers, fine china and linens creating a feast to the eye. They hosted food that had their guests pallets soaring and the best wines and spirits around. The bride with her cool and bold character wore a blushing pink wedding gown and asked her girls to show off in white. What a perfect combination! Drew in his cool toned suit allowing his gents the luxury of a vest no jacket in the summer heat depicts how laid back and unassumingly cool this couple was on their wedding day.
Camille of Camellia Floral Design tapped into exactly what we wanted in bright hues and undermining notes of color. With her unique use of texture from the succulents and greenery, I fall more and more in love with the bridesmaids bouquets. They allowed the perfect juxtaposition to the girls white short summer dresses. Too cute!
Our stellar team of vendors brought this vision to life with a grin. Big thanks to Marianne Wilson Photography for capturing the day, we love our big chandeliers from Images by Lighting, the glassware alone had us at hello from Town & Country Event Rentals, my good friend Brent of BAM Specialty Fabric Draping brings it every time when I ask for a cool and chic understated but over the top open air tent... thank you to all!
